Basic Life Support

This course provides personnel involved in healthcare with the knowledge and skill to recognise a cardiac arrest, perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and use an Automated External Defibrilator (AED).

Course Duration: 1/2 Day

    • Scene Assessment

    • CPR 1 & 2 rescuer

    • Basic Life Support for Adults, Children and Infants

    • Use of Airway Devices

    • Choking

    • AED

  • All successful candidates will be certified in CPR and AED through the Irish Heart Foundation (IHF).

    Certification is valid for 2 years from date of issue, thereafter subject to re-certification
